New up-to-date high power microscopes have been purchased for the House of Scientific Collaboration of VSU for biological and environmental research.
Micromed-5 LOMO microscope can provide 1500x magnification. When using the stereomicroscope Micromed MC-2-ZOOM you will be able to see the 3D samples of biomaterial. It is worthwhile mentioning that the samples do not change their natural coloring.
This equipment will be useful for the students studying courses such as “Chemistry around us”, “Environmental safety”, Practical microbiology”, and “Cell Engineering”.
These purchases were possible owing to the funding from the regional budget.
A panel discussion of the All-Russian educational marathon “Znanie” (Knowledge) was held at Vologda State University.

A large-scale vaccination campaign is taking place in the Vologda Oblast. It is one of the most effective ways to get protection against coronavirus.
“Currently, foreign citizens, who have got medical insurance, can also be vaccinated” said Vitaly Tushinov, Deputy Governor of the Vologda Oblast. Those who do not have compulsory health policies will have to pay to get a jab. The regional Center for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases will receive the vaccine for commercial vaccination.
Foreign citizens get vaccinated with the Sputnik Lite vaccine. This is a light version of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine, which does not require a second dose of the medicine.
Six concerts of folk music were organized by the Department of Musical Art and Education of the Vologda State University and the folk group of the College of Arts as part of the project “Educational Express: “Folk Musik Culture of the Vologda Oblast”.
