The annual All-Russian competition of scientific works of youths on the socio-economic development of territories was held at the Vologda Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The competition was attended by students, cadets, graduate students, young scientists and specialists under the age of 35 years from almost all regions of Russia and abroad. All papers were reviewed by experts and the competition Committee.

Students’ scientific conference “Research of the natural potential of the Vologda Oblast” was held in VSU

The 1st – 4th year students of the Institute of mathematics, natural and computer Sciences of VSU took part in the conference. They presented the results of research in geographical, biological and environmental areas. Biology students spoke about their research of flora and vegetation in the vicinity of the village Topornya in Kirillovsky district and the research of bottom communities of Lake Ladoga, rare plants of the protected area “Sokolsky Bor”.
