The youth center “Gorkom-35” hosted the exhibition “Vologda is our home”, dedicated to the Day of National Unity as part of the city project “We are citizens of Vologda! We are united!” All photos were taken by the famous Vologda photographer Mikhail Trapeznikov.
The theme of the exhibition was the cuisine of the peoples of Russia. Guests of the event got acquainted with traditional recipes, learned the secrets of cooking. In addition to photographs, the exhibition displayed items that reflect the features of Russian, Ossetian, Tajik, Uzbek and Vietnamese cultures.
On the opening day, VSU international students visited the exhibition.
“I learned a lot about the cuisine of different nationalities, what dishes they cook and like, – said Abdurashid Abdukakhorov, a 2nd year student at the Institute of mechanical engineering, energy and transport of VSU. – I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was nice to hear congratulations on the upcoming holiday, and the speech of the cheerful presenter, who spoke the Vologda dialect, trying to highlight the sound “O” in all the words.”
