Tatyana Kormanovskaya, the director of the VSU Center of Excellence, spoke about the development of supplementary education in 2019 – 2020 during the meeting of VSU Academic Council.
Last year, Vologda State University joined the implementation of national projects “Demography”, “Education”, “Small and medium-sized businesses and support for individual entrepreneurship”, and this has become a key factor in the development of the University’s supplementary education system.
Within the framework of national projects, 211 people were trained in 15 advanced training programs. This allowed the University to attract grants from the federal and regional budgets in the amount of 6.5 million rubles.
As the result, 94 supplementary education programs were implemented (an increase of 24%), 1,988 people were trained (an increase of 14%), 21.1 million rubles were attracted (an increase of 55%).
In the next academic year, the main objectives of the development of supplementary professional education will be:
Scaling up the educational programs in accordance with the requirements of the government, society and citizens;
Improving the management mechanism;
Digitalization of supplementary education.
