The competition for financial support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) involves publishing articles on scientific research little represented in the national peer-reviewed journals.
6124 applications were submitted for the competition in 2020, 500 projects will receive financial support.
Among the winners is the project of the director of VSU Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities Natalia Yastreb “Rediscovering instrumentalism: the philosophy of technology in the works of classics of American pragmatism”.
The project is dedicated to the concept of instrumentalism, the foundations on which the American philosophy of the late XIX-early XX centuries was based. These works are practically unknown either in Russia or abroad.
