The exhibition is to display the beauty of nature and diversity of architecture, richness of cultural, historical and spiritual heritage of different parts of Russia to Vologodians.
“The exhibition is timed to the National Unity Day,” said Yevgeny Bogomazov, Deputy Governor of the Vologda Oblast. “A huge number of nationalities live in Russia, and they live in peace, harmony and friendship.”
The exhibition displays 50 photographs, including five taken in the Vologda Oblast by photographers Sergey Yurov (“Winter Vologda”, “Russian winter” – Belozersk), Andrey Shilov (“PJSC Severstal” — Cherepovets), Alexey Kolosov (“Kirillo-Belozersky monastery” — Kirillov) and Daniil Zinchenko (“Church of Simeon the Stylite” — Veliky Ustyug). Part of the exhibition is dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the 75th anniversary of which our country marked this year.
“I was impressed with emotional richness, beauty, and the feelings that these works are filled with,” said the Rector of Vologda State University, Vyacheslav Priyatelev. – I really like the name of the exhibition. It fully reflects the essence of the photos. There is the past, the present, and a glimpse into the future. We are glad that the exhibition opens at our university, because VSU has students from 35 regions of Russia, representing our entire country from Kaliningrad to Chukotka.”
The project “Russia. Flight through the centuries” is organized by the group of companies “REGION” with the support of the Federal Agency for press and mass communications and PJSC Credit Bank of Moscow. The exhibition opens in all regions of the Russian Federation and runs until December 6, 2020.
