Children’s helpline specialists to improve their skills at VSU

Specialists of the All-Russian children’s helpline 8-800-2000-122 (emergency psychological assistance services) working in the North-Western Federal district (Saint Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Murmansk) have started classes at VSU.

Students have been studying for three days in the format of group training using team discussions, role-playing and situational games that simulate real telephone calls for psychological help, They also have been watching footage of real life consultations.

The course was developed by Nikolai Vasiliev, Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy.

The program is implemented at Vologda State University under an agreement with the Foundation for children in critical life situations and is designed for new employees, who do not have much experience, and have not taken part in such advanced training courses before.
