The Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities hosted a traditional event for first – year students – “Initiation”.
This year’s theme was “Nine circles of student life” based on the “Divine Comedy” by Dante Alighieri. Activists of the Institute tried to re-enact the story and every image of the guards, as well as Dante and his beloved Beatrice.
Freshers passed a quest where each stage was one of the circles of hell. They got acquainted with the plot of the masterpiece and its characters, took part in a quiz on the knowledge of the history of their Institute. And by tradition, each fresher at the end of the “Initiation” was presented with a symbol of the Institute – an emerald butterfly.
Everyone enjoyed the event in spite of the long road to the venue or restrictions that were introduced in order to protect the health of each of the students.
