The grand opening of the memorial sign in memory of the doctor of historical sciences was held at VSU building â„– 8. This is the building where the prominent historian used to work in the 1960s.

His students and followers, city officials, and ordinary people came together today to commemorate the memory of Alexander Solomonovich.

The event was opened by the rector of VSU, chairman of the regional branch of the Russian historical society, Vyacheslav Priyatelev: “Alexander Blank, of course, was a legendary figure of both the great Patriotic war era and the history department of our University. His name is known not only to his students but to schoolchildren of the present day.”
