The Students of Vologda State University are not staying away from helping other people during the lockdown.

The youths joined the Unified Volunteer Center to help citizens who are older than 65 years of age. Volunteers deliver food, medicine, take out garbage and help older people pay their utility bills.

Lev Girev, a student at the Institute of Management, Economics and Law, shared his impressions with the media portal “Auditoriya”: “I think that people need our help. We bring food to the pensioners. They respond very positively, immediately go to contact, ask if it will be possible to contact again. I would like to note that all possible precautions are taken when providing assistance to older people, because volunteers should fulfil their task with double responsibility.”
