Russian scholars to discuss Alexander Blank’s scientific legacy

The section “Coordinates of Time: in memory of a scholar” will be held from October 1 to October 2, 2021 as part of the VI All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Studies of the Russian North. 100th anniversary of Professor Alexander Blank”.

Vasily Sablin, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor at Vologda State University, Boris Khavkin, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor at the Historical and Archival Institute of the Russian State University for the Humanities, and Valentina Talashova, Candidate of Historical Sciences will moderate the section.

The participants of the conference will speak about Alexander Blank who was a researcher of the history of WW II military captivity; they also discuss books that were awarded the prize of the antifascists Hans and Sofia Scholl.

Participants of the conference will have an opportunity to visit the exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Alexander Blank in the Vologda Regional Scientific Library.
