VSU international students met with the Vologda Oblast police officers.
In the meeting, the police officers told the students about the legal status of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation, about the procedures for obtaining a visa, a temporary residence permit, and a residence permit. The students asked questions about employment, violations of migration rules, and responsibility for breaking these rules.
«I have been living in Russia for more than a year, but it is always helpful to review the rules of staying in a foreign country once again. Anyhow you need to keep your finger on the pulse not to get in trouble,” said Bahrom Rakhimov, a second-year student at the Institute of Civil Engineering.
The police also told the students how to protect themselves against online fraudsters, and warned them against making offensive social media posts.
