COVID: “Sputnik Light” jab available for VSU international students

A large-scale vaccination campaign is taking place in the Vologda Oblast. It is one of the most effective ways to get protection against coronavirus.

“Currently, foreign citizens, who have got medical insurance, can also be vaccinated” said Vitaly Tushinov, Deputy Governor of the Vologda Oblast. Those who do not have compulsory health policies will have to pay to get a jab. The regional Center for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases will receive the vaccine for commercial vaccination.

Foreign citizens get vaccinated with the Sputnik Lite vaccine. This is a light version of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine, which does not require a second dose of the medicine.

Intellectual game was held at University College of VSU

The game consisted of three rounds, with eight questions in each. Between rounds, the young people participated in contests such as “The most original Instagram photo” and “Battle Challenge”.  During the “music break” a first-year student of the University College of VSU Fyodor Kalachev sang a song “Friend”.

For the first time, a team of college teachers was among the contestants.

On January 20, Natalia Zhernova, a specialist of the Department of organization and support of scientific activities at VSU, who is also the chairperson of the Vologda Regional Public Organization VOIR, took part in the ceremony dedicated to the 90th anniversary of “All-Russia society of inventors and rationalizatiors” – VOIR. The celebration was held in Moscow.
