The quarterfinals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) were held simultaneously at a number of venues, including Vologda State University.

47 teams from 18 universities took part in the competition. Two teams presented Vologda State University. The team from the Institute of Mathematics, Natural and Computer Sciences by correctly solved five problems. The students were awarded diploma of the III degree.
