Together with Nikolai Shokhin, Professor at the Department of Tourism and Hospitality of Vologda State University, the students visited the architectural and ethnographic museum “Semyonkovo”.

“This is the first time we have seen such an interesting and large museum. A few hours were, definitely, not enough. Despite the fact that we were all frozen, learning about the life, traditions, and rituals of the peasants of the Russian North was very exciting. Most of all we were impressed by the Russian stoves that were just being heated when we arrived. They create unimaginable comfort and warm atmosphere. It seems that the house is full of life, although in fact, it is only a historical and cultural object. The trip brought a lot of positive emotions. I think we will return there again to fully understand all aspects of the peasant life of the northerners.” – shared her impressions Anastasia Voltareva, a VSU student.
