Pavel Dikov, a student at the VSU Institute of Civil Engineering, received diplomas in the categories “Project” and “Architectural fantasy”. Only ten out of 300 projects were chosen for the final.
The young architect created a model of the windmill which is situated in the Semyonkovo architectural and ethnographic Museum.
“Initially, I was inspired by the so called “paper architecture”, in particular, by the projects of Alexander Brodsky. I have also always been impressed by the windmills, their simplicity and brevity. I visualized a windmill, which can also be implemented as an art object. It symbolizes the path of life: a person enters it through a small door at the bottom, and then climbs through all the stages of life like up a spiral staircase”, Pavel Dikov said.
