The winners of the contest for creating the logo of the 50th anniversary of the Vologda optical and mechanical plant (VOMZ) were named at Vologda State University. In early October, representatives of VOMZ reached out to the VSU architecture students with a proposal to create an image that would reflect the history of one of the largest companies in the Vologda Oblast.
16 young people took part in the competition. The prize fund of the contest totaled twenty thousand rubles.
The logo created by Valeria Padalka was chosen by the jury. The student designed the anniversary sign in the form of a regular hexagon, inside which the facade of the main building of VOMZ is depicted with inscription: “50 years”. The young architect was awarded a prize of ten thousand rubles.
The second place was taken by Alyona Dolinova. Her idea of the logo was based on the use of colored mosaics, which is similar to the one on the facade of the enterprise building. The student received a prize of six thousand rubles.
“Bronze” and the prize of four thousand rubles went to Peter Kuzmichev. The logo depicts a hexagon with the year of the company’s foundation on it, and the anniversary number “50”.
