VSU social work master students Dmitry Volkov (1 year) and Ksenia Volkova (2nd year), under the guidance of Associate Professor of Social Technologies Olga Nagibina, organized classes for patients of the Vologda psycho-neurological rehabilitation center №1.

Thanks to the volunteers, the patients learnt about the space, the planets of the Solar system, and made their own drawings of the Earth.

The patients were also involved in solving riddles about animals, telling animal stories and answering tricky questions about animals. In addition, they used some felt to make an application of a snowman.

The positive experience was very important: students tried themselves in a new role, developed the technique of communication with a special social group, established contacts with practical social workers, and got acquainted with the work of a social service organization. The patients met new people, gained some useful information, expanded their knowledge of the world around them, and got an opportunity to continue such meetings with volunteers.
