Maria Budilova and Ekaterina Chekhova, 3rd-year students at the Institute of Culture and Tourism took part in the IX International conference-competition of scientific student papers “Ethnomusicology: history, theory, practice”, held by Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov
Maria Budilova’s scientific research was awarded the III degree diploma in the category “Stylistic features of calendar and ritual folklore”.
Ekaterina Chekhova’s research work was awarded a diploma in the category “Musical folklore in the modern world: issues of pedagogy and performance”.
The students’ research is based on the materials of folklore expeditions organized by the VSU Scientific and Educational Center of Traditional Folk Culture.
The research was carried out under the guidance of Galina Paradovskaya, Professor at the Department of Musical Art and Education, Candidate of Art History, honored worker of culture of the Russian Federation.
