Representatives of Vologda State University together with students support residents of the city during the self-isolation time due to the spread of COVID-19.

Maxim Shirokov, a teacher of VSU University College, and Valeria Smirnova, a youth guidance specialist at VSU, joined the United Volunteer Center to help citizens over 65 years of age.

Employees of the University deliver gifts to veterans for the Victory Day and have already delivered parcels to 18 addressees.

“I do enjoy helping people, and seeing their happy faces. I do not want to stay aside during this difficult time for our country. The veterans greet us warmly… With gratitude in their eyes and, of course, they ask, who sent them the gifts” said Valeria Smirnova.
