A scientific and methodological seminar “Music of Valery Gavrilin in the repertoire of children’s music and art schools” was held on March 3, 2020 at the Vologda Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Babushkin.
The event was attended by teachers of children’s music and art schools from Vologda and the Vologda Oblast, and students of the Institute of culture and tourism of VSU.
Mikhail Gogolin, Associate Professor of the Department of musical art and education at VSU, made a report “Valery Gavrilin and modern trends in composing”. Marina Dolgushina, Doctor of Art History, Head of the Department of music art and education at VSU, spoke about the preparation for the music contest “My Gavrilin”.
The seminar program also included masterclasses conducted by VSU Professor Irina Kokina and Associate Professors Olga Pyankova and Valentin Kokin.
Music by Valery Gavrilin as well as the works of art dedicated to Gavrilin made the event even more exciting.
