The third hackathon (hacker + marathon) “Digital Style” was held at the VSU House of Scientific Collaboration (HSC).
35 freshmen at the Institute of Mathematics, Natural and Computer Sciences, and third-year University College students divided into seven teams to solve cases.
The hackathon contestants were to make an automated house mock-up, a system for monitoring the amount of gas in the room, a device for controlling smart lighting, a that determines the safe distance to the electro-magnetic gadgets, and other hi-tech gizmos.
It took four hours of hard work, creativity, knowledge of Physics, Electronics and Computer technologies to complete the projects. A board of experts assessed the projects.
The student team from Institute of Mathematics, Natural and Computer Sciences was recognized as the best for their project “Magnetic field analyzer”.
