A team of researchers working under the auspice of the Russian Science Foundation on a project “Transformation of Russian Society in the 1950s-1990s: Class genesis and evolution of the economic structure” presented a series of reports at the International Scientific Conference “Money and Interest: Economics and Ethics”. Alexey Kudrin, a Russian politician and economist, Chairman of the Accounting Chamber of Russia, presided over the conference committee.
The scientists of Vologda State University presented their reports at the section “History of money circulation in Russia and the USSR”. Doctor of Historical Sciences Mikhail Beznin together with Doctor of Historical Sciences Tatyana Dimoni, presented the report “Monetary and non-monetary mechanisms in the Russian economic system of the 1950s and 1980s”. Doctor of Economic Sciences Konstantin Gulin made a report “The role of money in the Soviet economy”.
