VSU pays tribute to the Vologodians fallen in WW II

A round table “Coordinates of time: preserving the historical memory of the Vologodians fallen during the Great Patriotic War” was held at Vologda State University.

The scientific event was organized by the Vologda Branch of the Russian Geographical Society together with VSU and the Institute of Slavic Studies of the University of Szeged (Hungary).

The moderator of the round table was Nadezhda Maksutova, Professor at the Department of Geography and Rational Nature Management of the Vologda State University, Chairperson of the Vologda Branch of the Russian Geographical Society. Students at Vologda State University and Vologda State Dairy Farming Academy, schoolchildren, representatives of the Russian-Hungarian project group took part in the event.

The project “Coordinates of Time: Development of cooperation between the youth of Russia and Hungary” is being implemented with the financial support of the Presidential Grants Foundation.
