The international scientific and practical seminar (the third Ladoga seminar) “Approaches to assessing threats to the degradation of northern ecosystems” was held in the video conference format.
Representatives of two institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vologda State University, the University of Helsinki and the Institute of Environmental Protection of Finland took part in the discussion of topical problems of the ecology of aquatic ecosystems.
The seminar included seven reports on ecosystem services of Lake Ladoga, approaches to ecosystem protection, the spread of invasive species, mercury pollution of ecosystems, and the vascular plant flora of glacial lakes.
