The VSU project “Radiant heating of winter greenhouse” was awarded a bronze medal at the XXIV Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies “Archimedes-2021”.
The group of VSU scientists, Mikhail Pavlov, Sergey Lukin, Denis Karpov, Yuri Gavrilov, Pavel Berezin, Valeria Berezina, Sergey Klopov, and Kirill Pisarenko worked on the project.
According to Associate Professor at the Department of Heat and Gas Supply Mikhail Pavlov, the invention “Radiant heating of winter greenhouse” can be used for heating cultivation facilities such as individual or industrial greenhouses using gas infrared emitters.
“The method of radiant heating utilizes the heat produced by burning gaseous fuel in burners of infrared emitters. The outdoor air is preheated to the necessary temperature before it is fed into the winter greenhouse in order to maintain the required thermal regime in the facility,” Mikhail Vasilyevich explained.
It also should be mentioned that the method of radiant heating is more efficient from economic and energy saving point of view in comparison with traditional methods.
