A senior lecturer at the Vologda State University Oksana Reima defended a dissertation for the degree of candidate of pedagogical sciences at Tver State University.
The senior lecturer at the Department of Musical Art and Education of the Institute of Culture and Tourism presented a thesis on the topic: “Patriotic education of students based on the use of Russian folklore in extracurricular activities of the university” (scientific supervisor – professor Elvira Zautorova).
“Youth Folklore and Ethnographic Studio”, which Oksana Reima has been managing since 2011, became the experimental platform for the research work. Students of Vologda State University take part in activities of the creative studio.
The members of the Academic Council spoke very highly of the topic relevance underlining the importance of patriotism education of students through popularization of national spiritual values, and including young people in ethno-cultural and patriotic activities at the university.
