Two international VSU students, Sharifkhoja Mammadov, and Foziljon Gafforov became prize-winners at the regional wrestling tournament. Sharifkhoja won the title of champion in the weight category of 88 kg. Foziljon holds the second place in the weight category of 64 kg.
Sharifkhoja Mammadov also won regional University Games in the weight category of 88 kg. The competitions were held in the Martial Arts Arena.
Sharifhaja Mamadov shared his impressions: “It’s important to train hard and to have a strong desire to win. I’m planning on winning the title of champion of Russia, and then proceed to the international level.”
