The mathletes were to develop an educational application for any training course that they took or are currently taking at Vologda State University. An application could be browser-based, classic, or mobile.
The main evaluation criteria:
- degree of completion of the software product
- amount of work and complexity of the project
- relevance and novelty of the project
- prospect of practical use
- implementation of original solutions
- user interface convenience
When presenting their project (application), each team was to demonstrate its operation on a computer, and answer the questions of the jury.
After the results of hackathon were summed up, the jury announced three winners:
1st place – project “Mathematics for all” presented by the 2nd year “Software Engineering students”;
2nd place – project “Algorithms reference book” – 3rd year “Computer Science and Engineering”
3rd place – project “Development of educational applications in Mathematics” – 2nd year “Mathematical education and computer science”.
