The rector of Vologda State University summed up the results of 2020 at the final meeting of the VSU Academic Council.
“2020 was a year of transformation and challenges. Nevertheless, the University has not only maintained but also increased its growth rate in a number of the most important indicators. VSU has successfully switched to training using distance learning technologies, successfully restructuring the educational process in the context of the pandemic.
The University College of VSU received a certificate of state accreditation of two programs of secondary vocational education: “Law and social security organization”, “Law and judicial administration”.
According to the results of the admissions 2020, the average grade of enrolled students increased from 63.7 in 2019 to 65.8. Despite the pandemic, the number of international student has increased from 25 in 2019 up to 33 in 2020.
Today, one of the main goals of the University is to enter the program of strategic academic leadership. Joining the PSAL imposes obligations on the University to show sustainable growth. This will be reflected in the development strategy of the University, which will set ambitious but achievable goals”, – said Vyacheslav Priyatelev.
