VSU graduate appointed as the chief architect of Cherepovets

Anton Anikin, the former CEO of the Vologda Architectural and Urban Development Center, has officially started his new job.

Anton Anikin was born in 1982 in Vologda. In 2006, he graduated from Vologda State Technical University with a degree in Architecture, qualification “Architect”. He worked as a designer, design technician, and head of the urban planning sector.

The mayor of Cherepovets Vadim Germanov, also a VSU graduate, commented on the appointment: “Anton Anatolyevich has a lot of experience in public service. Here in Cherepovets, he’ll face ambitious goals. How Cherepovets will look like in the future depends, first of all, on the work of the Department of Architecture. The main task is to create a beautiful, comfortable city with a friendly infrastructure. I believe that Anton Anatolyevich is able to cope with the task”.
