During the training period, students will study the following subjects: “Theory of combustion and explosion”, “Physical and chemical bases of fire extinguishing”, “Fire equipment”, “Fire and explosion safety”, “Fire tactics” and others.
Head of the educational program: Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Elena Lebedeva.
Training period: 4 years.
Form of training: full-time/in person.
What you will learn:
✔ fire and explosion safety requirements in industrial, public and residential buildings;
✔ fire and explosion hazards on construction sites;
✔ organization of fire protection services and alarm systems;
✔ use of fire extinguishing systems and equipment;
✔ firefighting, including natural, forest-steppe and peat fires;
✔ fire prevention.
Nowadays, there are more than 300 firefighting divisions in the Vologda Oblast, with almost 3,400 firemen. There are more than 620 units of fire equipment in use.
