It was discovered in the “Sukhonsky” quarry, located in the territory of the Sokolsky district, by workers of the company, which is currently developing the quarry.

“The workers who found the bone gave it to us”, says Valery Chernyshov, Associate Professor at the Department of Geography and Environmental Management of Vologda State University.
