The conference was organized by the Department of Geography and Environmental Management of Vologda State University. The event made it possible for students and educators from Vologda and Arkhangelsk to meet online.
Field training in meteorology takes place throughout the year and involves the study of basic meteorological indicators, measuring instruments, methods of microclimatic and phenological observations in different seasons of the year.
The first year Geography students presented the results of microclimatic profiling of the Vologda River valley, the study of snow cover in the “Park Mira”, and autumn observations in the Mikhaltsevskaya grove.
Reports on spring changes in the nature of the Arkhangelsk and Vologda regions, observation of clouds and meteorological phenomena during the year in different key areas were of great interest.
The participants took an active part in report discussion. The best students’ papers are recommended for publication.
