The research on the durability of bridge protective coverings was carried out by VSU scientists for “Mostovik” company.
VSU scientists conducted a research on the effectiveness of modern materials for waterproofing concrete bridge structures in order to select the best technical options. The main attention was paid to such indicators as adhesion, heat resistance, water absorption and extensibility. The market cost of the materials was also taken into account. Statistical data was processed, and the averaged indicators of characteristics, and confidence intervals were found.
The research was carried out by means of the spectrophotometric diagnostics and digital technologies.
As the results of the research, the VSU scientists compiled the list of Top 4 most high-quality and economical materials.
