VSU researchers awarded medals

23rd Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies “ARCHIMEDES” was held in remote form at the “Sokolniki Exhibition Center” in Moscow.

Vologda State University has traditionally presented prospective innovations which correspond to the priority areas of science, technology and engineering of the Russian Federation.

Three VSU projects were selected by the expert Commission and the international jury of the “Archimedes-2020” Salon, and were awarded medals:

Gold medal – the project “Continuous blood pressure monitoring system based on a photoplethysmographic signal” (author – Associate professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics Svetlana Volkova);

Bronze medal – the project “Method for removing manganese and iron ions from natural waters in the preparation of drinking water” (authors – Candidate of Chemical Sciences Galina Tikhanovskaya, Associate Professor Semyon Chudnovsky, VSU graduates Maria Tretyakova and Alena Limova);

Bronze medal – the project “Digital component of the smart home complex for a relay control system for room comfort” (author – Senior lecturers at the Department of Control and Computer Systems Dmitry Kolesnichenko and Timur Korolev).
