The event “VSU science for schools of the region” was held today in the House of Scientific Collaboration (HSC) named after Sergey Ilyushin at VSU.
The educational event is dedicated to the Day of Russian science; its participants were schoolchildren from Vologda and the Vologda Oblast, students of the Institute of Mathematics, Natural and Computer Sciences of VSU, teachers from partner organizations.
Deputy Governor of the Vologda Oblast Larisa Kamanina was the guest of honor at the event. The Rector of VSU Vyacheslav Priyatelev and Director of the HSC Center Marina Butakova showed Larisa Vladimirovna around the functional areas of the House of Scientific Collaboration.
“The HSC Center was created to engraft the desire for self-improvement in the minds of children. No wonder they say that the word “success” means to achieve…. Additional education programs implemented in the House of Scientific Collaboration allow children to move science forward, and, perhaps, will help them determine their future profession “, said the Deputy Governor of the region.
We should mention that more than 500 children go to the House of Scientific Collaboration to learn biotechnology, genomic engineering, and artificial intelligence. The center also implements the project “technology lesson” within the framework of agreements on network interaction with schools. Moreover, HSC offers classes for school teachers in the framework of “Teacher K-21” project, which helps teachers master new modern technologies.
