The Vologda Oblast is one of the 15 regions of Russia, which created the Center for the development of contemporary competencies of children “House of Scientific Collaboration named after Sergei Ilyushin” (HSC).
The grand official opening was attended by representatives of the regional authorities, partner organizations of the project “Lesson of technology”, educators, students and teachers of the HSC Center.
Director of the house of scientific collaboration Marina Butakova showed the guests around the Center: room for coworking, hall for testing devices and mechanisms, lecture auditorium, technology lesson room.
Classes have already started there, young researchers explained to the visitors how to use VR glasses to catch fish, and how to print a phone case on a 3D printer, how to design a robot that can bring different items and much more.
The students of the cadet school “Shipbuilders of Prionezhye”, under the guidance of their teacher Evgeny Bilovol, gave a master class «Know yourself. How to become a valeo-engineer”. The students demonstrated the method of diagnosing the physiological state of the body with the help of special equipment.
“The opening of the HSC Center was made possible thanks to the Federal project “Success of every child” which is part of the national project “Education”, implemented under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and the Fund for new forms of educational development, as well as with cooperation of the Vologda State University, and the regional Government, – said in his welcoming speech the rector of VSU Vyacheslav Priyatelev. “The House of Scientific Collaboration will perform an important task – expanding the scope of research activities of our children.”
The HSC Center implements educational programs in three areas: biotechnology, genetic engineering, and artificial intelligence. In addition, the HSC implements the program “Technology lesson”, which replaces the school subject with the same name, but in a completely new format.
There are 416 schoolchildren among the students of the Center, 50 teachers took part in the extension courses of the project “Teacher K-21”. For a little more than three months, more than 2000 schoolchildren took part in the activities of the House of Scientific Collaboration.
