The employees of the Kazan Library introduced VSU students to the life and creative works of the prominent poetess.
Elena Titova, Associate Professor at the Department of Literature of VSU, a specialist in Tsvetaeva’s works, spoke about Marina Tsvetaeva’s connections with our region. Anastasia Tsetaeva, Marina’s sister, used to live for some time in the town of Sokol near Vologda.
Marina Tsvetaeva, an illustrious representative of the so called “Silver Age” of the Russian Poetry, was on friendly terms with poets and writers from Vologda.
This year we celebrate the 130th anniversary of the poetess. On this occasion, to pay homage to Marina and Anastasia Tsvetaev, a poetic event “The Tsvetaevs Bonfire” will be held in Vologda on October 8, 2022.
