A panel discussion of the All-Russian educational marathon “Znanie” (Knowledge) was held at Vologda State University.

Svetlana Pakhnina, Deputy Mayor of Vologda, Head of the Department of Economic Development of the Vologda City Administration, Natalia Yezhova, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research at VSU, and Evgeny Mazilov, Deputy Director of the Vologda Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences took part in the discussion.

“Local businesses actively attract scientists from Vologda State University to develop the up-to-date high-tech equipment. Currently, our engineers are working on the creation of a robotic crane that operates by itself using artificial intelligence and machine vision. Our scientists are also involved in developing technologies for construction of wooden houses and buildings,” said Natalia Yezhova, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work.
