The festival was held in the Crimea in early June. Its goal is to preserve and develop the Russian language as the core of national identity.
An International Symposium “The Russian language in the multicultural world” was held as part of the festival. Natalia Yastreb, Director of the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, and Elena Ilyina, Professor at the Department of Russian Language, Journalism and Communication Theory presented their reports at the event.
Elena Ilyina spoke about the results of the creation of the dialect database “Dialect of the northern village” (borbushino.vogu35.ru). Special attention was paid to the means of representation of the phenomenon of regional identity in the speech of local residents.
Natalia Yastreb presented the results of the project “Social network users’ attitude to the victory in WW II”.
