Do you think that students’ food is just cereal and hot dogs? That’s where the VSU students can prove you wrong! They took part in a cooking contest to show their culinary skills which turned out to be surprisingly great. The contest was held as part of the event dedicated to students who live in VSU dorms “Dormitory Week-2021”.
Before the contest participants were to make a video footage of their recipes. Students from dorm 7 made a video recipe of absolutely delicious trifles (English dessert). Students at dorm 8 shot a video of cooking an apple pie. The residents of dorm 4 presented a video of cooking a chicken with mushrooms in cream sauce, and the guys from dorm 1 cooked their favorite macaroni Navy style (macaroni and stewed meat). Students from dorm 2 surprised everyone with the recipe of original funchoza.
Each team also had to cook a dish using ingredients given to them, invent a name for it, and serve it for the jury members.
The contestants proved that high cuisine is not a luxury for VSU students but quite an ordinary thing! The winner of the culinary contest will be announced in the final of the competition on April 9.
