A conference “Topical issues of forestry development” is traditionally held at Vologda State University as part of the International Forestry Forum “Russian Forest”.
The conference consisted of three sections:
- “Economics and sustainable management of forestry”;
- “Environmental monitoring: problems and solutions”;
- “Logging and wood processing technologies, forestry equipment and transportation”.
Scientists from Vologda, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Ukhta, Arkhangelsk and other cities made presentations on the forestry development. Foresters from Kazakhstan attended the conference and made reports about the current state of the forestry in their country.
