The competition was organized by the Russian Historical Society.
Anastasia Vitushkina, a fourth-year student at the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, became the winner in the category “History of a region of Russia during the Great Patriotic War”. Her research paper is dedicated to the history of the Vologda factory “Krasny Kommunar”.
“My research paper deals with the company’s development in the 1930s – 1940s. In order to carry our my research, I used the newspaper Krasny Sever as a historical source of information,” said Anastasia.
Having won the competition, Anastasiya became a member of the School of Young Historians under the auspice of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation
