Vologda State University hosts a scientific conference “Mathematics in the modern world”.

It is dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the outstanding Russian mathematician Dmitry Grahve.

“I attended a section dedicated to algebraic geometry. A report on covering algebraic manifolds with affine spaces, which we heard today, was very interesting. It is very close to the issues of rationality of algebraic geometry, which I study,” said Andrey Dymov, a researcher at the Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
