Celebrated every November 10 for more than 20 years, the World Science Day draws public attention of the role of science, and the need to use scientific and technological achievements for peace and development, for the benefit of human civilization.
Vologda State University is actively engaged in scientific activities. Every year, educators, scientists and students publish articles, monographs; participate in scientific conferences, forums and exhibitions.
This year, the VSU scientists were awarded a gold medal at the Inventions and Innovations exhibition in France; gold and two silver medals at the International Exhibition of Inventions and Innovative Technologies “Archimedes” in Moscow.
Other than that, VSU hosted more than 100 scientific events; over 1000 scientific publications saw the light of day. And yet, the young scientists and students still have plans and ideas.
Science, undoubtedly, helps people understand the world and each other, contributes to economic and technological development, and helps solve global problems.
